THURSDAY 13th April
Our Elaine will be planting up as many containers and hanging baskets as she can between 10am and 4pm – and she’ll be giving advice and answering your questions as she does!
Buy any planted container or basket on the day and we’ll donate £2 for each one sold to Willow Wood Hospice.
If you buy one you’ll also get a raffle ticket in a draw to win a £50 Daisy Nook voucher.
Did you forget to plant those bulbs for spring? We have loads potted up and ready to plant – on sale now.
You might have seen the Waspinator on This Morning or Monty Don using it last year on Gardener’s World. It’s used to stop wasps setting up home in your garden, pergola, shed, play area etc. – particularly in a spot they’ve used before. It’s chemical free, there are no dead wasps, no mess and no cleaning up. Sound too good to be true? Well, we usually find we have a wasp nest on the walkway between our two buildings. So last year we suspended a Waspinator from the wooden …canopy (you’ll see it hanging to the right of the Riverside Building doors) and it worked. It fools the wasps into thinking other wasps have already set up home in that spot and so they go off and find a new home! Wasps do some good work in the garden but this product keeps them away from areas where they might annoy you and moves them elsewhere.
Anyway, the Waspinator is now in stock – it comes in a pack of two. Don’t wait for the wasps to set up home – hang the Waspinator up first.
